“We have no budget, no footage, but still want something awesome…”
That’s how the conversation started - this is how it ended.

These 7 videos are complete found footage montages culled from personal stashes, borrowed VHS tapes, thrift store finds, and digging and digging thru Prelinger and the like. These were made for Omni’s live stage show, to be projected behind the live act while performing these and other tracks off the new album. Get out your Dziga Vertov books!

After seeing countless stage acts with basically a jazzed up windows screen saver up on screen, I tried to dig a bit deeper and create an actionable movement to each video, tailored to the heartbeats of each song. It soon became apparent how strange matching up the most random of footage can project meaning with and from such a unique artist. I had a blast working with Omni, Sean, and crew in collaboration on these elements.

It took a little over 12 months from start to mostly finish, and almost another year of label complications, working here and there in the little free time I had to dig and find, sort and sift, and digitize my way thru over 2 TB of footage. These were finally were played out in select shows about and around, and now they are online for your enjoyment.
