Everything I Do Comes Back To Me

Music Video

It started as a wash of light.

I had purchased a couple dusty boxes of old Kodak 200 foot reels from an estate sale in middle of nowhere Ohio a few years back. I attempted to ghetto telecine using my 16mm projector. As soon as I had saw what came up, I was taken aback. Being from the midwest, this life cut deep. Something frozen a little too high on the shelf, you can look at it, but it can't ever be yours. I've discerned a general location of where the footage is from. But most is still a mystery to me. A beautiful picture of someone elses life.

One of my favorite anthro type things is to delve deep into something like this, asking why someone shoots the things they do. As you can see its not all just family gatherings and baptisms. Trying to recreate a persons story and life from fragments has always interested me.

So the flicker is a happy accident of a constant frame flicker between the camera and the projector.

A good friend of mine has a band... The Daredevil Christopher Wright. And growing through school with Jon's waning voice has always made me want to produce some art to go with it. This track "Everything I Do Comes Back To Me" is off the earlier EP. I suggest you check out the new album. Hopefully I'll do another video for a track or two on there.

Thanks for watching.
